SHISEIDO x MATCHA MATCHA

SHISEIDO x MATCHA MATCHA

This August, MATCHA MATCHA welcomed SHISEIDO for a special collaboration inspired by Japanese beauty, botanical ingredients, and the art of matcha.

The experience began on August 14 with an intimate SHISEIDO Masterclass at MATCHA MATCHA Club. Guests gathered in our Toronto space to discover the story behind the collaboration, learn more about SHISEIDO, and enjoy a menu created especially for the occasion. Valerie introduced the MATCHA MATCHA brand and shared the inspiration behind each item.

A Menu Inspired by Japanese Botanicals

At the heart of the collaboration was a limited menu inspired by camellia, sakura, jasmine, lychee, strawberry, and matcha.

The Camellia Strawberry Matcha Latte paired rich matcha with a soft layer of strawberry cold foam. Camellia, an ingredient closely connected to SHISEIDO’s skincare heritage, became the inspiration for a drink that felt delicate, modern, and distinctly Japanese.

Our Sakura Lychee Matcha Soda offered a brighter and more refreshing experience, combining floral sakura, sweet lychee, matcha, and sparkling soda.

The drinks were joined by two exclusive desserts: a Jasmine Lychee Cake and a Vanilla Berry Cake. Together, the menu brought SHISEIDO’s botanical inspiration into the world of matcha through colour, flavour, and texture.

A Limited Gift for Our Community (sold out)

From August 15 to 18, guests who purchased a SHISEIDO Menu Set, including one collaboration drink and one cake, received a limited SHISEIDO × MATCHA MATCHA Travel Set while supplies lasted.

Each set included:

  • Everyday Matcha Can

  • A limited-edition travel bag

  • SHISEIDO Ultimune Power Infusing Serum (10 mL)

  • SHISEIDO Ultra Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50 (15 mL)

The response was beyond anything we expected. Every travel set and pouch was claimed, with guests visiting to experience the menu, discover the products, and celebrate the collaboration with us.
