Matcha Matsu no Midori by Hekisuien
Matsu no Midori by Hekisuien
Inspired by the enduring beauty of Japan's evergreen pines. Produced in Kyoto by Hekisuien — a historic Japanese tea house established in 1867 — Matsu no Midori (松の翠), meaning “Evergreen Pine,” is a ceremonial-grade Uji matcha named after the distinctive bluish-green hue of pine needles. Rooted in generations of Japanese tea craftsmanship, this matcha offers a beautifully balanced expression of traditional Uji tea.
This matcha is full-bodied, smooth, and umami-rich, with gentle sweetness and refreshing vegetal notes. Its creamy texture reveals subtle hints of fresh greens and delicate tartness, followed by a clean, lingering finish. Perfect for usucha (thin tea) or matcha lattes, it delivers a rich, well-rounded flavour that remains smooth and approachable.
Rich, refreshing, and beautifully balanced — this matcha is crafted for those who appreciate a fuller-bodied cup with gentle sweetness and a satisfying depth of flavour.
